On Saturday, Aug. 21 the Washington Avenue-Prospect Heights Association’s (WAPHA) will be holding their first street festival in Prospect Heights Brooklyn featuring some of the businesses in the local area. The festivities will take place on Washington Avenue between St. Marks Avenue and Prospect Place from 12pm to 6pm.
Local merchants will showcase their product or service in a way that is interactive, innovative, creative and fun. There will be a “Taste Off” food competition and Fashion-Hair exhibit. Neighborhood restaurants will compete to see who has the best appetizer on the Avenue and will be judged by all attending the event. Prizes will be awarded to merchants.
A unique display of Fashion and Hair Art will be fused into an exhibit that’ll be one of a kind. There will be live band performances, an amazing DJ, FREE Salsa dance lessons, Children activities and much more. It will definitely be a day of Food, Fashion and Fun for everyone.
Be sure to stop by.

Wish I could attend, but live in Houston. This event sounds like a great opportunity for local businesses to make connects.
It is a great idea for business owners once the directory fully launches hopefully in the near future we will be able to do networking tours to bring business owners together.
This was a success and will be repeated in the same month next year..
