BumpitorDumpit.com is a emerging business created to help emerging artist and musicians bring awareness to their music. Unlike most music websites, bumpitordumpit.com is dedicated to the unsigned artist who generally doesn’t get the opportunity to expose themselves to the masses. Today’s record industry hasn’t changed very much versus digital downloading. Record labels still take full advantage of their artists, leaving them practically broke regarding sales. After the label, management etc.. has gotten their cut, the artist is left with pennies per unit sold. Many artists have chosen the independent route which takes much longer, but if they do reach the mainstream, they’re in full control of their destiny. While working towards that goal, Bumpit allows them to introduce their product to the public and share a large percentage of the profits regarding downloads or sales.
Artists who join the site will have the opportunity to earn an estimated 25-40 cents per track vs. 10-15 cents on iTunes, Napster, and other digital music distribution sites. Also featured on Bumpit is our merchandising co-op, where artists can submit their logos to us which we stored in our data base or we can design one for them. BumpitorDumpit.com owns its own printing and design company and on their personal profile page will be a store where fans can order their brand or merchandise. Instead of them having to order bulk merchandise which most can’t do, we print, and ship individual orders for them and share the profits at no initial cost to the artist. It will also feature free play radio and a voting page where artists are paired against one another randomly in each genre and compete to really see who’s the best based on the users only. A contest or competition that never stops. After the artists who are Bumped go through three rounds of competition, they’re placed on our BUMPED AND CERTIFIED CHARTS. The artists the don’t do so well are Dumped and can enter another song in the competition.
BumpitorDumpit.com is currently in beta and will launch on August 28th and all of these feature will be available for artists and musicians. Upon Launch BumpitorDumpit is offering a FREE account to the first 4,000 artist who join.
